RezStream Cloud offers revenue tracking with Google Analytics
Online Revenue Tracking With Google Analytics
Revenue tracking is a great tool to benchmark your property’s success which is why we’ve included it in our RezStream Cloud reservation software.
Most often, Google Analytics is used to track visitor behavior and see how well your website is performing. But with advancements in analytics and our software, we’ve focused a lot on revenue tracking lately. Not only are we one of the select few software providers that include revenue tracking in the cloud-based PMS, we can also help you set it up so you can properly track what rooms are bringing in the most revenue and what rooms could use some enhancements.
Now, you must have a Google Analytics account for this to work but we can track a variety of performance metrics:
Online channels
Which online channels are bringing in the big bucks for your bottom line? Are people coming to your website through organic search traffic or are your emails crafted so well that those are driving your reservations? With RezStream Cloud’s tracking you can see which channel (organic, direct, referral, PPC, email, social, etc.) is leading to higher conversions.
Page performance
Google Analytics tracking shows which pages are offering quality information and which pages people are immediately exiting. With this information, you can rework poor performing pages or add more details to pages that share your packages or specials.

Booking engine abandonment
Have you ever wondered what step might cause people to abandon their booking? Wonder no more as Google Analytics tracks visitors through the booking engine process and can show at what point potential guests are leaving.

Mobile vs. desktop traffic
It’s been about eight months since Mobilegeddon and we’ve seen great performance of websites that are responsive whereas sites that aren’t responsive or are still using a mobile version (m.brand.com) have had a serious decrease in website traffic. Using Google Analytics, you can see how many of your website’s visitors are using mobile devices and how many are using desktops. You’ll then see how much revenue is attributed to desktop user and how much you’ve made from travelers on the go.

Transaction data
Revenue tracking gives you the important information from your conversions such as the dollar amount attributed to that transaction and taxes.

Reservation data
You’ll also be able to track revenue through room or unit details such as the room name and unit price. See which rooms impact your online revenue the most and which rooms need some attention. You’ll also be able to track point of sale items, costs, quantity, and any purchased packages or upgrades.

Revenue tracking and implementing Google Analytics can be a great addition to measuring the success of your property’s website and online reservation system.
